In Workday, the job requisitions are driven by a Supervisory Organization. The “Sup Org” is generally the Chief Scribe or Project Leader of the site. As many individuals can be involved in the hiring process, Workday tasks do not always route to the person who will be completing the tasks.
To resolve this issue, it is important that the correct person who will be completing the I-9s is designated the supervisory org. If this needs to be changed, please contact your Recruiter to assist you. If you are only assisting temporarily, tasks can be Delegated to you on an individual basis. Here’s how:
Example: A Chief Scribe has a task that their Project Leader will be completing.
From the the Workday inbox have the Chief Scribe go to the task and select the Wheel icon on the top right corner. A list of options will populate. Select “Delegate Task.” On the following screen the Chief Scribe will be allowed to select the person who will be completing the task on their behalf. Important Note: Tasks can only be delegated to Peers (fellow Chief Scribes) or a Supervisor like their Project Leader. A Project Leader cannot delegate down to a Chief Scribe! It can only go up!
The Chief Scribe selects the appropriate party and clicks Submit. Please feel free to share this with your sites when you’re assisting them.
