    We’re halfway through the year.

Think about the things you’ve done over the last 6 months. Are you proud of your accomplishments? Have you reached goals or helped others reach theirs? Have you spent time with family and friends?

What about the people you’re not as familiar with? When was the last time you volunteered?

There’s still time left in 2018 to make a difference. Listed below are a few volunteering events I’ve attended in the past, as well as some ideas to get you started:

    • Spend time helping at a community food bank – sort food, pack meals, deliver goods to those in need
    • Join in on a Million Meal Pack or similar event near you
    • Start your Saturday at an animal care center or Humane Society – walk dogs, help prepare meals, educate visitors
    • Visit with people in a nursing facility – hear their story, play a game of cards
    • Host a mini beach or park cleanup
    • Sign up to help at a 5k or other community event for a good cause

What is your favorite volunteer activity? Do you have a great idea that you’d like to share with the ScribeAmerica community?
