On April 8th, the HealthChannels/ScribeAmerica Headquarters Team volunteered with Feeding South Florida.

We had a great time volunteering with the Human Resources, Recruiting and Business Development teams!

Each group volunteered 2 hours of their time. In the morning, 2,200 lbs of food were sorted which went on to provide 19,000 meals. The afternoon group was also able to personally pack 600 bags as a team, with their group providing 17,000 meals as well.

Together with other Feeding South Florida volunteers, we were able to work towards 36,000 meals for our community’s food insecure population!

We’re looking forward to our next volunteering opportunity!

This is such a great cause! It’s very easy to do, all you need is a couple hours to make a big difference!

We are still actively involved in this organization! The fabulous Ms. G and I will be volunteering during the PM shift (1:30-4:30p) on Saturday July  8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. We hope you consider joining us! If you have any questions about Feeding South Florida or volunteering with us, please feel free to comment here!

Great job! This is so awesome. Seeing this kind of  success and the influence our company can have on local communities motivates me to get my sites more involved in community outreach.  🙂

This is amazing! I’m so happy and honored to be a part of such a wonderful company that shows compassion towards the local community. Hopefully there will be another opportunity for South Florida sites to participate. Keep up the great work!

Thank you, Michelle, Rebecca and Jessica!

As Chandra mentioned, we’re still actively volunteering with this organization, so feel free to sign up with us if you’re in the area. Feeding South Florida has two locations (Pembroke Park and West Palm Beach) where you can sign up to volunteer. They are part of a larger volunteering organization called Feeding America which works with food banks and other organizations throughout the country to help our communities, so you don’t need to be in South Florida to make a difference!

Feel free to share your community outreach ideas for others across the country!
