  1. If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
    • Carne asada tacos, but really any tacos would pretty much do.
  2. If your music is on shuffle, which song would pop up first?
    • Any song from Shakira or Eye of the Tiger. I am a big Shakira fan, and Eye of the Tiger has always been my go to song when I need to focus or have a big task to accomplish. So you can imagine Eye of the Tiger comes up often.
  3. If all your fears were removed, what is something you’d like to do?
    • If all my fears were removed something that I’d like to do is go skydiving. It looks like such a thrill and a once in a lifetime experience, but I am too afraid to do it.
  4. Do you collect anything?
    • My siblings and I have this game where we collect either a mug or a shot glass from either the places we travel to or places we visit. We try to see who has the most cities or places collected at the end of the year. We are a pretty competitive family so it keeps things fun. Also, to avoid cheating it only counts if you have physically been to that place and purchased it yourself.
  5. What was the best concert you ever attended?
    • Last year my sister surprised me with concert tickets to the Lindsey Stirling concert for my birthday. It has been by far one of the best concerts I have been to.
  6. People would be surprised if they knew…
    • Before working for ScribeAmerica I had a few a few other jobs. One that very few people know about is that I worked as a Certified Reproductive Health Educator for Vista Community Clinic as well as Planned Parenthood. We now provide scribe services to Vista Community Clinic, which I find very rewarding.
  7. What makes you laugh the most?
    • My husband makes me laugh the most. He has a very funny and outgoing personality. I can always count on him for a good laugh.
  8. What was your first concert?
    • My first concert was to see Bon Iver play at dawn at the Hollywood Cemetery. My roommate in college was a big fan and wanted to spend her birthday at this concert. It was one of the most unique concerts I’ve been too and definitely an experience to remember.
  9. Do you prefer sweet or salty?
    • Definitely sweet. I love baking and eating my baked goods. When going out to eat I always like to see the dessert menu first to see how much room I should save for later. I find a meal is incomplete without dessert.
  10. What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
    • I love to crochet! Not a lot of people know this about me, but it is something I really enjoy. My mom and I crochet newborn hats and blankets and donate them to different NICUs every year around the holidays. It is a tradition I started over a decade ago when I volunteered in the maternity ward at a local hospital. Being in the NICU is often hard for families, especially during the holidays, so we like to provide a little holiday cheer that will keep them cozy.
  11. What is your favorite book to read?
    • 1984 is one of my all time favorite books to read. I first read it in high school and own a copy that I re-read now and again.
  12. What did you want to be when you were younger?
    • When I was younger I wanted to be a physician, because I loved the idea of helping others and making a difference. I always thought that I would be either a surgeon or an infectious disease physician. While I did not become a physician, I find that through my job I am able to help physicians across the country and as a result help more people than I could have ever done as a physician.
  13. What was your first job?
    • I had my first job when I was 15. I worked at Ulta as a beauty consultant and professional make up artist. While I knew I did not want to make this a career I really enjoyed makeup and helping women feel empowered through makeup. I attended numerous trainings and worked with prestigious people in the fashion and makeup industry at my very young age. A friend and I started a side business back in the day, where we would provide professional makeup services for weddings and special events. We used this side business to help us pay for our college education.
  14. If you woke up tomorrow as an animal, what animal would you choose?
    • I would be a butterfly. It is my favorite animal. I enjoy the metamorphosis of their nature and that in every stage of their cycle they always become a better version of what they once were until becoming this beautiful unique butterfly.
  15. If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
    • New Zealand or Galapagos Islands. My dad at one point worked as a tuna fisherman and traveled the world and speaks many languages. I grew up seeing photos of all the cool places he would travel to. The photos for New Zealand and Galapagos Islands were always my favorite, so these two places are on my bucket list for must see places.
  16. What is your favorite cereal?
    • My favorite cereal is Lucky Charms. I am still such a kid at heart sometimes.
  17. What is your proudest accomplishment?
    • My proudest accomplishment is my children. Being a mom has been one of the most challenging and rewarding things I’ve ever done.
  18. Who is your hero?
    • Not to be cheesy, but my Dad has always been my hero. He has had to endure so much in life and has always inspired determination and passion for everything he does. Those that meet or know my Dad have always said I have his work ethic, which is something I have always admired about him.
  19. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
    • If I could live anywhere, I would probably live in Panama, which is where I was born and where all of my extended family lives. Something about the tropical jungle really inspires me.
  20. What is your favorite holiday?
    • My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. It is a dear holiday to my family and one that we know that no matter where we are in life we always come together on this day. We have a lot of special family traditions that we follow during Thanksgiving, but most importantly we talk and reflect on our year and our accomplishments and failures. I find this to be something special that I have always enjoyed with my family. It allows us to pause and appreciate what life has given us and look back on the things we want to change or accomplish.
